The government we get is the government we elect

The country is on the path to disaster. It is imperative that we elect Democrats overwhelmingly this cycle as an attempt to bring sanity. This must be done with one caveat; behave like the Republicans and you are out in 2 years.

So what are our demands?

1. Begin a realistic bipartisan movement towards a tiered comprehensive national health care insurance program.


2. Create an equitable tax system that does not favor capital over workers. In other words realized capital gains must be taxed at the same rate as income.


3. All military contracts must be opened to fair bidding.


4. Increase the minimum wage.


5. Assist in the partition/Federalization of Iraq into regions that lessens violence and get our soldiers out.


6. Kill all oil company subsidies and create a Manhattan like project for (a)Nuclear energy, coal gasification, shale oil/oil sands production in the short term. (b) A sustainable renewable near net zero carbon energy policy based on wind, ethanol (from most efficient biomass), wave energy, & solar power for the long term.


7. Create regulation to force publicly traded corporations to detail in absolute dollars compensation packages of all company officers while giving shareholders veto power.


8. Create policies that prevent globalization from killing the American manufacturing and intellectual base. This is a national security issue.


9. Create strict security policies for all our factories, ports, power generators, communication infrastructure, etc.


10. Establish the US as a benevolent country through actions and not statements in order to rebuild the worlds trust.
