Can there be any doubt? Republican Party = Racist Party

RNC Every party has racists of every kind. However, when someone of leadership in a party feels it is just funny to stereotype any group it becomes abhorrent. Many leaders in other parties have made insensitive remarks before. Generally they make an issue to publicly atone. The Republican leadership is a different specie. They make no apologies for their racism or insensitivities.

During the election I put together an easy to compile very limited montage seen here of the Republican Party’s racism. Today TheHill.com reports another one that is simply off the wall. See the article below and view the offending song/video here.

RNC candidate Chip Saltsman’s Christmas greeting to committee members includes a music CD with lyrics from a song called “Barack the Magic Negro,” first played on Rush Limbaugh’s popular radio show.

The Republican Party for all practical purposes is now a regional and marginalized Party in the Deep South East and a very few heartland states. Most “independents”, people with liberal democratic ideals that refuse to identify themselves as Democrats, have jumped ship as indicated by Chuck Todd’s excellent piece here.

The current Republican Party is Sarah Palin’s party. It is the party whose attributes are racist, non-informed, ill-informed, and not very interested in being informed. This is dangerous not because the party is now a party of crackpots. It is dangerous because without the check of an intelligent opposition, complacency by the dominant party takes hold which intern brings us back to bad policies of a different kind.

Daily Kos: What the UAW Made

UAW

It is time to stop blaming the UAW for all labor problems. It is shameful that the ones who are best helped by the unions are methodically misled to believe unions are bad for business and the country. Companies negotiate and pool resources to get equitable deals that ensures the viability of all involved. It is high time for the American worker to be a part of negotiating their worth as opposed to being nothing more than commodities.

The article below is a great synopses of the good in a union.

QUOTE:

The UAW Made The Middle-Class

Sure, this is a bold claim. Yet it’s hard to dispute that the UAW had a greater hand than any other single institution in the creation of what we know as the American middle class. Harold Meyerson wrote a terrific column last week on this very topic:
